Adult English classes: levels with longest waiting lists in the United Kingdom in 2014

Which English for Speakers of other languages (ESOL) courses have large waiting lists?

The data displays the proportion of adult learning centres offering English as a foreign language that had large waiting lists for their classes in March 2014, by the level of course. The highest demand for classes was for beginner classes, with 60.1% of centres having waiting lists, followed by the next stage up, Entry 1, and then the stage after that Entry 2. This could be because as people become more confident in their English, they may be less likely to attend classes. Level 2, the highest ESOL level, had the smallest number of centres with waiting lists.
