The data describes the number of cars that were recalled for safety reasons in the U.S. between January 2015 and March 2016, by car manufacturer. During that period, GM's recalls affected a total of around 10.6 million vehicles. At around 51.26 million vehicles, 2015 was a big year for recalls: General Motors, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and automotive supplier company Takata were the major culprits, while used car dealers were most negatively affected. Daimler, Ferrari, Ford, GM, Honda, Subaru and child seat manufacturer Graco have kicked off the year 2016 by issuing new recalls.
