The data displays the proportion of job vacancies that are due to a skill-shortage in the UK from 2011 to 2015, by country. The countries most affected by general skill shortage in 2015 were, at 24% of all vacancies, Wales and Scotland. This was an increase of 6% and 9% respectfully on 2011. Overall in 2015, the skill shortage was said by employers to have created 23% of all vacancies, making them therefore 'hard-to-fill'. Northern Ireland was the only country to have seen a reduction in the skill-shortage from 2011 to 2015.
