Wales: European language candidates at A level from 2010 to 2017

The data displays the number of A level candidates taking a European language subject in Wales from the academic year 2010/2011 to 2016/2017, by subject. German was the least popular language to study, but it saw a smaller decrease in the number of candidates than French. It is important when analysing statistical trends to take into account that the number of pupils for each year differed.
