The data displays the trend of candidates taking Welsh at A level in Wales, either as a first or a second language, from the academic year 2010/2011 to 2016/2017, as a percentage of the total number of learners for each year. The academic year of 2010/2011 gave rise to the peak at 2.4% of A-level students, the numbers of students taking Welsh at A level has decreased over this seven year period by 0.7%.
