The data displays the number of A level candidates taking Welsh in Wales, either as a first or a second language, in the academic year since 2010/11 until 2016/17. As with other languages at A level, the number of pupils studying Welsh gradually decreased. However, numbers are not necessarily indicative of percentages as the number of pupils varied on a yearly basis.
