The data shows the number of verified ballot papers from the EU referendum vote in the UK from June 23rd 2016, the results are shown by region. The South East of England had a turnout of almost 5 million people; this was the most politically active region in all of the United Kingdom, with almost 1.2 million more verified ballot papers cast than London, which had the second highest amount. Northern Ireland had the fewest number, at 790.5 thousand.
