Final results of the mayoral election first and second rounds in London in 2016

The data displays the final results of the London Mayoral elections that took place on May 5th 2016. With 1148,716 first preference votes, Sadiq Khan who stood for the Labour Party received the most votes, with Zac Goldmsmith of the Conversvative Party coming second with 909,755 first preference votes. As Sadiq Khan did not receieve more than 50% of the first preference votes, his victory was only confirmed after his and Zac Goldmsith's second preference votes were added to their totals.
