Over 5,000 Scottish adults were asked if they think Scotland should be an independent country. The answers were then split to show generational differences. The most common answer for each generation was 'no'. The most supporters of Scottish independence were found in the generation Y group, where 42% gave the answer 'yes'. The strongest supporters of staying a part of the UK were members of the pre-war generation.
