The data displays the result of a survey in England from 1999 to 2013 (some years missing) which attempted to gauge the public opinion on whether Scotland should become an independent nation or not. In 2011, 26% of respondents said that it should. This was the peak of the period in question. Although the English have no opportunity to vote in the referendum in September 2014, if they did, it would seem that the majority would vote against the proposed independence from the UK.
