The data displays the projected spending of Scotland and the UK, in the scenario that Scotland was independent from the United Kingdom, from 2012/13 to 2062/63 as a percentage of national income. The model used is that of the Institute for Fiscal Studies from their study entitled ' Fiscal Sustainability of an Independent Scotland '. Until 2021/22, the projected spending of Scotland is lower than the UK's. From this time to 2062/63 though, spending as a percentage of national income for Scotland is predicted to increase by 13 points - 6.
