The data shows the share of adults who rehearsed or performed in a play, drama, opera, operetta or musical theatre in England over the last 12 months, as of annual surveys conducted between 2005/06 and 2016/17. According to the 2016/17 survey, 1.5% of respondents had performed in a play or drama and 0.7% in an opera or musical theatre.
