Spa visits in the United States - additional information
A total of 184 million visits were made to over 20,000 spa facilities across the U.S. in 2016. This is an increase of five million on the amount of visits made in 2015. The number of facilities in the country has also more than doubled between 2003 and 2016.
About 360,000 people were employed by the U.S. spa industry in 2015, of whom around 164,500 were part-time workers and a further 41,700 were contract workers.
