Textile and clothing industry investment in the European Union 2009-2017, by segment

The data shows total investments in the textile and clothing manufacturing industry in the European Union from 2009 to 2017, split by market segment (man-made fibres, clothing and textile). Across the three segments, investments in textiles were the highest in the industry over the period in consideration, worth three billion euro in 2017. Investments in clothing were worth approx. half of this value (1.5 billion euro) in 2017.
