The data displays global sales of the Apple iPhone between 2007 and 2017. In the 2016 fiscal year, Apple sold around 212 million iPhones, a decrease from the previous year.

Apple introduced the first generation of iPhones in 2007, selling almost 1.4 million units worldwide in the first year the smartphone was on the market. Over the past few years, sales of the Apple iPhone have seen a strong increase reaching 150 million units by 2013.
For its 2017 fiscal first quarter, which ended December 2016 – therefore including the major part of the Christmas season – Apple reported more than 54 billion USD in revenue from iPhone sales.
