In 2017, Amazon generated 12.2 billion USD from the sale of infrastructure as a service, giving it a market share of 51.8 percent, more than the next four biggest vendors in the market combined. Between the three major public cloud services segments of software, infrastructure, and platforms, infrastructure as a service is expected to display the fastest level of growth over the next five years.
