The data shows the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of employment in the medical technology sector in the UK between 2011 and 2016. The medical technology sector applies the knowledge and experience of the health sector to medication, medical equipment, vaccines, medical practice and organizational systems. During this five year period the in vitro diagnostic technology sector displayed the lowest growth rate in employment at 2%. This was followed by hospital hardware including ambulatory at 9%. The sector which displayed the biggest growth rate in employment was the digital health sector at 20%.
