The data displays the total number of aircraft kilometres flown by UK airlines between 2002 and 2015 for both international and domestic flights. Understandably, international flights tended to cover a much larger distance than domestic ones. The distance flown also increased, suggesting that there were more flights flying further over this period. At the same time domestic flight distance travelled was decreasing suggesting that people may have been using other modes of transport for travelling within the United Kingdom.
