The data shows the number of rolling stocks manufactured in Japan in fiscal year 2017. During the surveyed period, Japan Railways (JR) conventional carriages accounted with 872 cars for the biggest number of railway vehicles produced in Japan. Private operators came in second with almost 700 domestically manufactured carriages.
