The data displays the accumulated annual production of passenger cars and commercial vehicles in China from 2008 to July 2018. In 2017, approx. 24.8 million passenger cars and 4.2 million commercial vehicles had been produced in China.

With a production volume of about 21 million passenger cars, China ranked first among countries with the biggest production of passenger cars in 2015. It was followed by Japan, Germany, the U.S. and South Korea - countries which are home to the most valuable car brands worldwide.
