Electrified powertrain production - projection 2016-2020

This graph gives an outlook of electrified powertrain production from 2016 through 2020. It is estimated that some 4.8 million electrified powertrain units will be produced by 2018. This figure translates roughly into 5% of total light vehicle production. Electrified powertrains will be built into hybrid transmission and plug-in hybrid transmission cars, as well as battery electric vehicles and fuel cell electric cars.
