The data shows the average annual number of fatalities per billion passenger kilometers of different modes of transport within Great Britain (GB) between 2006 and 2015. Fatalities from rail accidents were negligible. Cars and vans also had very low fatality rates. By far the most dangerous form of transport were motorcycles with an average yearly rate of 83 fatalities per billion passenger kilometers. Bicycles and walking were also much more dangerous than other forms of transport.
