Although the number of cyclists who were slightly injured was similar in proportion to that of the pedestrians, the number of cyclists killed was significantly smaller than the number of fatal casualties among pedestrians.
In 2016, 62 adults were killed in cycling accidents - the age group with the highest number of fatal casualties, while ten young people were killed in cycling accidents.
