The data displays the percentage distribution of contributing factors leading to road accidents in Great Britain (UK) in 2016. Almost half of all road accidents were caused by the driver or rider not looking properly while driving. Only 7% of accidents were caused by drivers travelling too fast for the conditions of the road.
Drivers who failed to judge other person's path or speed contributed to 23% of accidents, and slippery roads (due to bad weather) caused 8% of accidents in the year 2016.
