The data displays the number of vehicles involved in reported road accidents in Great Britain in 2016 according to the vehicle type and the purpose of the journey it was making. The greatest number of accident involvements was made up of cars going to work, followed closely by cars commuting. In 2016 18.4 thousand cars were involved in accidents on their way to work, while 2,400 accidents were recorded by cars taking pupils to school.
