This graphic represents the percentage of cars registered in the United Kingdom from 2014 to 2017 according to their sales type. In 2014, the share of new cars sold in fleets, i.e. in large numbers, was equal to the share of cars sold privately, however in 2015 fleet sales became more prevalent than private sales. In comparison the share of new cars sold to businesses was minimal in every year over this period.
In 2018, the share of fleet cars sold increased even more, while the number of car sold privately and to businesses decreased.
