The global revenue of the cruise industry has been increasing since 2007 and was expected to rise to around 57 billion USD by 2027. Each cruise passenger brings a revenue of around 1,700 USD on average, most of which is made up by the price of a cruise ticket. However, passenger expenses are almost as high as revenues, leaving around 180 USD per passenger in profit.
