Nights in short-stay accommodation in the European Union 2006-2015, by residents / non-residents

The data displays the number of nights spent by residents and non-residents in travel accommodation in the the European Union (EU-28) from 2006 to 2015. An estimated 1.52 billion nights were spent by residents in accommodation in the EU in 2015 compared to 1.26 billion non-residents in the same year. In total, overnight stays in all types of travel accommodation in the EU in 2015 amounted to approx. 2.78 billion nights.
