The data shows the total number of overseas residents' visits made to the UK in 2017, by purpose of trip. Most travelers visited the United Kingdom on vacation, with 15.37 million visits made for holiday purposes. A large proportion of trips were also made to visit friends or relatives residing in the United Kingdom. In total the number of UK inbound visits recorded in 2017 reached 39.2 million.
