Share of consumers eating out or as takeaway in the last week in Spain from 2008 to 2017, by on/off premises and delivery

The data displays the proportion of Spanish adults who had eaten meals prepared outside the home in the 7 days prior to being interviewed between 2008 and 2017. The results are broken down by meals or snacks eaten on the premises of a pub, restaurant or cafe, takeaway meals eaten off premises and meals or snacks delivered to the home. 28% had eaten takeaway meals off the premises where they were prepared in 2017 and 39% had meals delivered to their home. Combined, this was almost equal to the share of those eating in restaurants and other food premises.
