The data describes the sales revenue of leading supermarket chains in Japan in fiscal year 2016. During the measured period, Aeon Retail showed with a revenue of almost 2.2 trillion Japanese yen the strongest performance among the national wide supermarket chains in Japan. With sales reaching approx. 1.3 trillion Japanese yen, Ito-Yokado ranked second in fiscal year 2016.
