The data illustrates the distribution of lithium end-use consumption in the global market in 2017, by area of application. During that year, some 27% of the lithium consumed was used in glass and ceramic products. Increases in battery demand will be a strong driver of lithium consumption in the near future but producers are currently limited in their ability to match demands.
