The data shows the share of adults in the UK that had pet insurance (PMI) in 2017, by age. Of the 5.5 million adults that had pet insurance in 2017, those aged between 45 and 54 were the most likely to have their pets covered by insurance with 27%. Those aged between 18 and 24 years and those over 75 only made up for 3% each of pet insurance owners.
