The data displays the retail value of the pet care market in Western Europe from 2013 to 2018. In 2017, the market value for pet care reached around 25.42 billion euro.
This trend for an ever growing industry can also be seen in Eastern Europe, where the market has grown significantly since 2013, with a market value estimated at 5.7 billion euro.
There is no surprise that the market value for pets is increasing, as there are a large amount of pet animals all over Europe. In 2017 it was estimated that there were over 290 million pets in Europe, with the majority of these being cats.
