Admissions for digestive system diseases caused by smoking in England (UK) 2002-2017

The data shows the number of adults admitted to hospital for diseases of the digestive system which can be caused by smoking in England (the UK) from 2002/03 to 2016/17. In 2002/03 there were approx. 39 thousand adults admitted to hospital for a disease of the digestive tract which was caused by smoking, by 2016/17 the number of hospital admissions had increased approx. 84.6 thousand, this was the biggest number of admissions during the fourteen year period.
