The data describes the most popular online marketplaces according to online sellers in the U.S. as of January 2018. During the survey period, it was found that Amazon was the most popular marketplace with a total score of 6.23 on a 10-point scale. Results were based on four key areas - profitability, customer service, communication and ease of use and sellers were also asked if they would recommend the marketplace as a selling venue. Global auction platform eBay ranked second.
