In 2013, there were some 10.6 million carats of diamonds produced in Canada. It is estimated that in 2018, there will be some 20.3 million carats of diamonds produced in Canada. As of 2014, Canada's diamond production represented an estimated 8.7% of the world's diamond production by carat volume.
