The data describes the share of mobile payment methods accepted by merchants worldwide as of March 2018, by payment type and year. According to the findings, in 2017, 79% of merchants worldwide accepted debit card as a viable method of mobile payment, however, by 2018, this had decreased by four percentage points to 75%.
