The data displays the number of contactless payment transactions that are made in the UK every month from January 2016 to June 2017. In June 2017 there were a total nearly 470 million contactless transactions made, the vast majority of which were made with a debit card (408 million as to 61.6 million made using a credit/charge card). This is a large difference when compared to January 2016 which saw a total of 135.8 million contactless transactions, 118.7 million of which were made with a debit card transaction as to 17.
