Total number of credit card transactions in Luxembourg 2006-2017

The data displays the total number of credit card transactions in Luxembourg from 2006 to 2017 (in millions). In 2017, residents from Luxembourg made approx. 72.4 billion credit card transactions, both domestic as well as abroad. This is an increase from the 62 billion transactions reached in the previous year and the highest volume reached since 2006. Additionally, credit cards overtook the transaction volume of debit cards for the first time, indicating an increasing popularity in their use.
