The data shows the number of photovoltaic power systems connected to utilities in Canada as of 2016, by province. During this year, utility-connected solar power PV systems totaled 1,528 in Alberta. As all the provincial and territorial governments now support net-metering or net-billing and as system costs have decreased, generation of solar energy is gradually approaching grid parity in Canada.
