The data depicts the total market share of plug-in hybrid and and battery electric vehicles in the EU, annually from 2011 to 2017. The market share of battery electric vehicles improved from being practically non-existent to slightly above one half% of the total vehicle market in Europe - an 800% increase. During this time frame the market share of plug-in hybrid electrics peaked in 2015 at 0.65%.
