The data depicts the leading registered fully electric passenger cars in the Netherlands as of May 2018. A little more than 9,700 Tesla Model S electric cars were registered in the Netherlands. The Nissan Leaf was registered approx. 3,500 times, where the Renault ZOE closed the top three with roughly 3,000 registrations in the Netherlands.
When looking at the number of new registered electric cars, there was a rise in electric cars between 2014 and 2015, but decreased again from 2016 on with a total of approx. 11,000 registrations in 2017.
