The data depicts the distribution of new bicycle sales in the Netherlands from 2007 to 2017, by category. As of 2017, roughly 30% of the new bicycles sold were electrical bicycles, an increase of 25% when comparing it to 2007. The hybrid bicycles were in a slight decrease, where in 2010 10% of the bicycle sales were hybrids, in 2017 it was 5%. The normal tour or city bicycles faces the same with a sales loss of 10% in six years. However, even though the demand for electric bicycles increased, the share of normal tour of city bicycles sales remained higher with roughly 40%.
