The data displays the increase in the number of all ultra-low emission vehicles licensed in the UK between the first quarter of 2010 and the third quarter of 2017. These vehicles include cars, microcars, motorcycles, vans, heavy goods vehicles and buses and coaches. Uptake of ultra-low emission vehicles was relatively slow in 2010 and 2011, but the growth rate increased year on year with an increase of around 10,000 new low emission vehicles each quarter between the fourth quarter of 2015 and the second quarter of 2017.
