The data displays the number of monthly registrations of plug-in pure electric cars in the UK between January 2014 and June 2018. Higher sales in September and March are due to the release of new registration plates. There was a clear trend of increasing sales of plug-in electric cars, with a peak in 2017 of over 3,100 registrations in March 2017.
In March 2018 the number of monthly registrations reached 2,904 registrations of plug-in pure electric cars in the United Kingdom. That accounts for 7.5% less than in March 2017.
