The data describes the number of automated teller machine- related attacks or incidents reported in selected European countries from 2010 to 2017. Over time, the fraud incidents, many of them connected to ever evolving techniques designed to rob customers of their savings, such as i.e. keypad jamming fraud, rose from 12.3 thousand in 2010 to approx. 20 thousand in 2011. In 2014 the overall number decreased to 15.7 thousand from 21.3 thousand attacks reported in 2013, but as of 2017, it fluctuated reaching approx. 21 thousand attacks reported.
