The data depicts the value of loan write-offs for banks and building societies in the UK from the second quarter of 2012 to the fourth quarter of 2017. It can be seen that the total value of loan write-offs decreased overall during this period, reaching a value of 928 million GBP as of the fourth quarter of 2017. This was a decrease of nearly 2.3 billion GBP in comparison to the second quarter of 2012, when over 3.2 billion GBP of loan write-offs were recorded by banks and building societies.
