OPEC - share of total global crude oil production 2009-2017

The data illustrates OPEC's share of total global crude oil production from 2009 to 2017. In 2009, the OPEC countries generated some 42% of the total crude oil production worldwide. This percentage increased to over 45% until 2012. In 2015, the average annual OPEC crude oil price was some 52.51 USD per barrel, while in 2014 the price was nearly double that amount at 96.29 USD per barrel. OPEC stands for the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, established in 1960 in Baghdad, Iraq.
