The data displays the development of the Tier 1 capital ratio at Deutsche Bank from 2009 to 2017. The Tier 1 capital ratio is a comparison between a bank's core equity and total risk-weighted assets. It is, in other words, a measure of a bank's financial strength based on the sum of its equity capital and disclosed reserves, and sometimes non-redeemable, non-cumulative preferred stock. A firm's risk weighted assets include all assets held by the firm, that are systematically weighted for credit risk. In 2017, the Tier 1 capital ratio at Deutsche Bank was equal to 16.
